50th reunion events: Thursday September 19 – Sunday September 22, 2019. The group approved the following EVENTS:
THURSDAY September 19, 2019 – Picnic at the lake, mid afternoon to early evening.
FRIDAY September 20, 2019 – Golf in the morning (Ray D. will schedule).
Cocktail Hour at the Ramada Inn on the lake, early evening (Cindy will schedule)
Patti and Jerome will contact DeSales alum to see if they wish to make this a joint event.
SATURDAY September 21, 2019 – Canal or Lake ride – Late morning.
Reunion dinner at the Geneva Country Club on the lake, evening (Don will reserve).
SUNDAY September 22– Brunch at Belhurst Castle – Edgars – late morning.

To make sure we have a great photo of the entire group of alums attending the 50th, Neil Sjoblom will take our class photo. He sets up the photo of the entire group and anyone who wants a copy, pays him $20 and they are sent the final 8×10 of the class. (Estelle will schedule with Neil).

Estelle showed her beautiful in-progress GHS quilt. This will be a free door prize but each person who wants to be considered for the quilt must sign up at the dinner event.
Group decided to send out SAVE THE DATE information in the next few months to get everyone ready for the 2019 reunion.
Discussions:
Estelle and Amy discussed creating a memory book for each alum attending as a gift. Each book would include what each classmate is doing now (along with a photo). Estelle and Amy will check on prices, etc.
Other items for free??? T-Shirts with GHS sketch on front with phrase – I'm from the old School.
Items for a fee: Bricks, GHS DVD by David Stobie, 50-50 raffle, framed photo of GHS (for the 50th reunion)???

Positive Impact Award – discussion revolved around whether we should include nominees who have had a positive impact on their communities outside of Geneva and if it is ok that it is part of their job. Jerome, Cheryl and Patti will review and report back at next meeting.

The 1969 class of Geneva High School begins a new tradition with its 45th reunion, honoring a classmate who has had a positive impact on the community and reflected well on our graduating class. Change agents come in all shapes and sizes. The class of 1969 honors one of our classmates for her/his commitment to better the community and the world. Think Global, Act Local.
Next Meeting to be held in April 2018. Specific day when we get closer to that month.
